It took me some time to come up with the title for my blog. Trying very hard to think of something that would express my basic philosophy and the idea that usually pops into my head is to use all the crayons. As a pastelist this is a core belief. And it can be applied to just about anything. When teaching someone else to paint with pastels it seems that the same advice is given every time – you need more colors or you need to use more colors. When I was a kid, I ate the crayons that were not in use. So you can imagine my dismay when I saw that RuPaul is attributed with a quote expressing his philosophy that is the same as mine! I was feeling all original and it turns out he beat me to it. Does RuPaul even own crayons?
